The Pump Rules HBIC is more than okay that she walked away from the Beverly Hills Housewives. Although she’s not entirely ruling out a return to the franchise – eventually!
When asked by Entertainment Tonight if she was said to no longer be apart of RHOBH, Lisa said, “That was then, this is now.”
“Of course. It was very difficult for me, but I kind of put that experience in the same compartment in my life that was a very sad time,” Vanderpump confessed. “So, the fact that I’ve come out of it and I’m on the other side of that now, even though it was compounded by losing my mother just three, four months ago. It was a difficult time in my life. So, I’m actually happy to have moved on and come out the other side because that year was brutal for me. I don’t want to go back there.”
LVP admits that Andy Cohen has already asked her to return to RHOBH, and while she is leaving the option on the table, fans shouldn’t expect to see her back on the show anytime soon.
“You can never say never because I always said I’d never be on a reality show. So I don’t know,” Vanderpump quipped. “Andy did come see me at the house the other day, and we were having a joke about it. And he’s always saying to me [and] at some point I just say to him, ‘It’s not even up for discussion right now.'”
“I think the most important thing is you want the authenticity. And I felt that we had that and I felt that, you know, we’ve got a lot of people, I have 400 people work for me,” LVP shared. “I have a lot of people who don’t want to be on the show and a lot of people that do, but you can’t just pop in and start filming, you have to kind of be connected.”
She continued, “They filmed some of their own, they have their own thing going on, but you’re going to enjoy it. It’s always good to have some new blood.”
Speaking of season 8, Lisa says the five new cast members joining Pump Rules will shake things up.
“It’s a great season. I know that for sure. There’s nothing slow about this season,” Lisa teased to ET. “The new cast have a dynamic between themselves, not necessarily just with the old cast. They have a dynamic that was in existence already. So there’s always a lot going on.”
