Buckle up RHOC fans because the season 14 reunion is going to one wild ride!
Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson escalated their ongoing feud at the season 14 reunion, which filmed last Friday, November 8.
“Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson got into the most epic feud during the RHOC reunion,” a source close to production tells HollywoodLife. “It’s by far Vicki’s best reunion to date. There was a lot of yelling and finger-pointing when it came to these ladies, especially.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County stars have been embroiled in a feud for well over a year. However, their dispute intensified in the last two weeks after it was revealed that Vicki filed a defamation lawsuit against Kelly and Bravo, for an unspecified amount, under the fake name “Jane Roe” in early November. The lawsuit stems from comments that Kelly makes in an upcoming episode of RHOC. While on vacation in Key West, Kelly called Vicki a “fraud,” a “con woman,” and says that she “preys on older people.”
The OG of the OC officially dropped the lawsuit on November 8. While it’s unclear why Vicki dropped her lawsuit, many fans believe that the RHOC contracts may have played a role in the decision. Bravo contracts prohibit Housewives from suing each other based on anything that happens on the show.
“The lawsuit infuriated Kelly, and it was the first time she saw Vicki since it happened, so naturally, Kelly was angry, and there was a lot of name-calling on both sides that went on,” the insider continued. “Some would argue that she crossed the line with some of the things that came out of her mouth.”
“The reunion taped [in Los Angeles] for over 12 hours,” the source added. “It was a long and stressful day by all. Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Kelly went out afterwards to let off some steam. Braunwyn is really staying neutral in the entire Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, and Vicki versus Kelly drama.”
As we previously reported, Vicki has hinted that she may leave RHOC after season 14. Rumor has it Vicki is “embarrassed” by the drama on the show.
Only time will tell what Vicki’s next move will be because she very well may change her mind after filming the reunion. If Vicki’s reunion performance is as good as it’s rumored to be, Bravo may bring her back as a full-time Housewife for season 15, and we all know Vicki would NEVER turn that down!
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Tuesdays at 9 pm EST on Bravo.
