Jim Edmonds is speaking out for the first time about divorcing his wife Meghan King Edmonds.
On Friday, October 25th, Jim filed for divorce seemingly out of the blue. This shocking news came a day after the former Real Housewives of Orange County couple celebrated their 5-year wedding anniversary.
Now, Jim is breaking his silence about his pending divorce and the cheating allegations made by his soon-to-be ex-wife.
“It’s dangerous, irresponsible and hurtful to all to allow a rumor to be spread to the world because of insecurities,” Jim told Us Weekly in a statement on Saturday, October 26.
Jim shared similar sentiments in a post on his Instagram stories late Sunday night.
“They should make a new law where you can be arrested for making false accusations against anyone,” Jim wrote, insinuating that he’s the victim in this all.
The former RHOC star accused her husband of “having an affair” with their children’s nanny just before he filed for divorce.
“The nanny is someone who has worked for them for years and is like family,” one source explained. Noting, that the Edmonds family employees four nannies and one live-in au pair. “During the argument, Meghan called the cops, but nothing came of it. Jim didn’t put his hands on her. The police chalked it up to a verbal dispute. No arrests were made.”
According to a source Meghan confronted Jim and the nanny but they both denied the allegation. This confrontation came after Jim “went to a recent hockey game” and Meghan “began interrogating him about who he went with.”
Fans quickly alleged that the nanny Jim was having an affair with, was Carly Wilson. Meghan practically confirmed this claim while responding to a comment on her most recent Instagram post.
This fan theory surfaced after fans located an Instagram post from November 2018 where Jim gushed about Carly while wishing her a happy birthday.
Oddly enough, over the weekend photos of Jim at a hockey game with a mystery blonde surfaced. The woman in the photo is believed to be Carly. The photo is said to be from last week.
However, Carly denies having an affair with Jim.
“The allegations are completely false,” Carly insisted when a follower asked if the rumors about her and Jim were true.
Meanwhile, Jim’s daughter Hayley Edmonds also denies that her father and Carly engaged in any type of inappropriate relationship.
“Carly has done nothing wrong and is an amazing human being…the truth will come out,” Hayley commented on one of rhwwrh_bravo’s Instagram posts.
She then accused her former step-mom of fabricating the rumor.
“I know her personally…it’s not true. It’s all fabricated,” Hayley said.
Meghan has yet to officially comment on her split from Jim or the cheating allegations.
