Heather Dubrow The Real Housewives of Orange County - RHOC

Heather Dubrow Tries Stand-up Comedy – and Pokes fun of ‘Real Housewives’ While doing so!

We all remember the cringe-worthy performance of Slade and Gretchen at the Improv – but does Heather Dubrow have the chops to hold her own in stand-up comedy?

In an ET exclusive Heather appears in David Spade’s “Build a Comic”, seen on his Comedy Central show. The plot of the show revolves around Spade and a comedic cohort (here, it’s Whitney Cummings) feeding a celebrity jokes while the star is on stage at a comedy club. The audience has no idea the lines aren’t coming from the celeb herself and the celebrity is essentially just the middle man. Fellow Bravoleb Stassi Schroeder has participated in the experiment as well. Take a look at Heather exploring her talents as stand-up comic in the clip below:

Heather knows that she isn’t a Spade or Sandler and admits she has enough self-awareness to know she’s not going to make it big as a comic. Heather states:

“I can’t say that stand-up comedy is in my wheelhouse, but I have great respect for comics and I’m smart enough to know that this is not in my lane.”

Luckily for Heather the real comics jokes went over well and Heather did a solid job delivering them. Some of her best jokes inlcuded: “I know, I look like a woman who used bribery to get my kids into college” and “Do you know how I got onto The Real Housewives?” Dubrow asks the crowd on Cummings’ prompt, before delivering the punchline. “No, I’m asking… ’cause I was drunk the whole time. Did you watch that?”

Heather may not be a comic but she did 10 x better than Slade Smiley. Maybe he should have had Whitney and David write his jokes for him?

Thoughts on Heather onstage? Thoughts on the plot for Lights Out?
