The word on the street is that an OG may very well be returning next season on The Real Housewives of Potomac!
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast are already filming season five, according to Reality Blurb and photos posted on social media. Casting rumors have been swirling, but it appears that all of the current castmates are going to return next season. There was speculation that Ashley Darby wasn’t returning, however; she recently shot that rumor down. On social media, the RHOP fan account, TheTeaofPotomac shared a photo of the cast filming at an anniversary party for castmate, Candiace Dillard, and her husband, Chris Bassett.
Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon were in attendance and are shown in the photo. In addition, fellow OG of the RHOP, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan was in the picture at the party. This has led to speculation that Charrisse is returning full-time. Or she could be on the show as a friend of the wives. Whatever the outcome ends up being, it’s likely that we’ll get to see Charrisse since she’s been filming with the cast.
Monique Samuels was also at the celebration with the ladies, but noticeably absent were fellow co-stars, Karen Huger and Ashley. It’s not very surprising or telling if Karen and Ashley missed Candiace’s party, though. They are all likely to be on the show next season, even if they miss an event here or there.
Charrisse is still in touch with many of her former co-stars, and she even attended Ashley’s baby shower back in June. Fellow OG of the RHOP, Katie Rost, returned during season four of the RHOP as a friend of the wives. However; it’s not likely that she’s going to return next season at all. Katie has taken to social media to discuss issues that happened during filming with producers, editing, etc. Plus, Katie was not happy that she wasn’t invited to attend the reunion this season. You never know, though, maybe Katie will return down the road too.
It makes me happy that filming has begun for next season already. I’d love for Charrisse to come back full-time to the RHOP! I think that all of the ladies are going to return next season. The cast really works well for the Potomac franchise, and the ladies always bring it! They are so entertaining.
