Bethenny Frankel may not be returning to The Real Housewives of New York City full-time for season 12, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing her on the show! Andy Cohen has been hinting that we’ll see Bethenny here and there next season on the RHONY, and he stated that the door is “always open” for her to return. Now Bethenny recently revealed that she isn’t ruling out being on the RHONY!
Bethenny recently told Entertainment Tonight, “I have had such a great experience, Bravo has been such an amazing partner, and I’m always rooting for the women, and what a great journey I’ve had. So, this is the next chapter. The Emmys is a wonderful place to start the next chapter!”
Andy had said on his SiriusXM radio show, “My overwhelming feeling about Bethenny leaving New York, and I told her this six weeks ago were she going to leave, that I am so grateful that she came back. She already left is what we need to remember. So, we were so lucky to have these last seasons with her on it, and it was just so fun to have her back and she brought so much to the show that — I just am living in the gratitude of her second return, and I will hopefully live in the gratitude of her third return. Because we are much like the mob, you can’t get out. And I, I do hope and think that she will come back sometime.”
He had added, “She’s so still a part of everything that’s going on, that you almost could see her dropping in and it’s like, Oh my god! OK. Here’s Bethenny, Bethenny’s at a party. Or, Bethenny’s on this trip. You know, you never know. You never know. So, I look forward to her in any capacity on the show, and I’m just grateful that she was back at all. We all should be.”
Bethenny reacted and said, “You know, I love Andy, I love Bravo. They took out an ad yesterday to congratulate me on everything BStrong is doing, so it’s great to have good relationships and I will always be a member of the Bravo family.”
What will she miss most about being full-time on the RHONY? According to People, Bethenny said, “I miss the humor. I miss the satire.” She added that she will have “the outlet for the humor.”
Bethenny decided to leave the show as season 12 was beginning. Bethenny said in her statement: “I have decided to leave the Housewives franchise to explore my next chapter. It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have. My experience at Bravo has been an incredibly magical ride. I am so grateful to them for highlighting my entrepreneurialism and allowing me to pave the way for many women to achieve their goals. I am excited for my future. The best is yet to come.”
Congrats, Bethenny! I wish her all the best. I have a feeling we will see her around from time to time, which is exciting. She’s an OG of the RHONY and is a big personality. It’s hard to imagine the show without her again. I’m going to watch the shows she’s working on and I hope she will return full-time to Real Housewives down the road!
