It’s New York Fashion Week and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are loving every New York minute of it!
Kyle Richards had her debut fashion show at NYFW, for her new brand, Kyle & Shahida, which is co-designed by designer Shahida Clayton. The cast of the RHOBH walked the runway in their fashion week. Cast members who walked in the show included: Erika Girardi, Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Dorit Kemsley. A lot of the looks featured Kyle’s signature colorful caftans and robes, which many of the RHOBH stars wore down the runway!
According to People; Lisa R, Teddi, and Kyle all wore bodysuits with floral robes while Erika wore a colorful tunic and Dorit wore red pants with a tube top and blazer. Kyle’s family was there to support. Kyle’s beautiful nieces Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton Rothschild were in attendance, and they sat in the front row wearing feminine floral dresses. Kyle’s nephew, Barron Hilton, and his wife Tessa Hilton, attended the show and wore classic all-black looks.
Kyle’s daughters, Sophia Umansky, and Alexia Umansky, also walked in the fashion show. Kyle gushed on social media, she wrote, “Be still my beating heart.”
Kyle has been an admirer of Shahida’s work for years. Kyle explained in a press release, “As a longtime fan of Shahida, I am beyond thrilled to be collaborating with her on our new line Kyle and Shahida. Our collection of chic ready-to-wear is beautiful, luxurious, flattering and comfortable. Our prints are inspired by our travels and love of animals and nature.”
According to People, the brand features a lot of contemporary resort wear, jumpsuits, dresses, and evening looks. The inspiration for this first collection was ‘nature’ and ‘wildlife.’ The custom fabrics are printed with tropical plants, florals, seashells, butterflies, exotic birds and animals of the Serengeti. Shahida said in a release, “Kyle has been a friend of mine for some time now, and she has a truly fabulous sense of personal style. I am really excited to debut our brand at New York Fashion Week, and begin this new incredible business venture beside her.”
Kyle previously owned her own clothing boutique, Kyle by Alene Too, in Beverly Hills, New York City and the Hamptons. She shut down the Beverly Hills location back in 2018 and she downsized the New York City and Hamptons locations. Her line with Shahida at NYFW featured shoes by Femmes Sans Peur. Denise, Dorit, and Sophia wore shoes from the design collaboration during the fashion show.
The upcoming season of the RHOBH is currently being filmed and Bravo cameras were at the fashion show to capture everything. Garcelle Beauvais, the latest addition to the show, was in attendance at the fashion show.
