Andy Cohen Bethenny Frankel The Real Housewives of New York - RHONY

REPORT: Andy Cohen Feels “Betrayed” By Bethenny Frankel’s RHONY Exit; Thinks Her “Ego Is Out of Control” Plus, Did B Quit ‘RHONY’ Because She Was ‘Embarrassed by Behavior’ Last Season?

Rumor has it Andy Cohen isn’t happy about Bethenny Frankel’s sudden exit from the Real Housewives of New York.

Bethenny’s exit came after an alleged outrageous salary demand for season 12 of the NY franchise.

A new report suggests that Andy was left blindsided by Bethenny’s departure and is now feeling betrayed as the dust begins to settle.

“[Andy] feels betrayed about the way she left the show, which put her on the map,” a source revealed to In Touch Magazine. “She ran and gave an interview to [to Variety] about leaving before discussing it with him.”

The SkinnyGirl mogul reportedly had “one foot out the door”  when she allegedly went into negotiations and threw out a big number to see if Bravo would bite. They didn’t, which is when Bethenny issued a statement to Variety announcing her departure from RHONY.

“Andy thinks Bethenny’s ego is out of control and her money demand was ridiculous,” the source confessed. “Everyone is replaceable — even Bethenny.”

This report contradicts comments Andy recently made about Bethenny’s departure. During the September 4th episode of his SiriusXM show “Radio Andy,” the Bravo executive producer revealed that he thinks Bethenny will return to RHONY eventually and that she may even pop up during season 12.

“We are much like the mob. You can’t get out,” Andy said. “I do hope and think that she will come back sometime. Who knows?”

He continued, “She’s so still a part of everything that’s going on that you almost could see her dropping in. It’s like, ‘Oh, my God! OK! Here’s Bethenny at a party. Bethenny is on this trip.’ You never know. I look forward to her in any capacity on the show, and I’m just grateful that she came back at all. We all should be.”

As for the rumors surrounding Bethenny’s exit, the Watch What Happens Live host has yet to comment on them.

Meanwhile, another report from In Touch suggests that Bethenny left RHONY because she was “embarrassed by [her] behavior” last season.

“Bethenny’s multiple meltdowns last season were not good for her brand, and not good for business,” a source told the gossip magazine about the reasoning behind the SkinnyGirl mogul’s departure. “She’s embarrassed by her behavior. The show brought her fame and success, but she doesn’t need to be on a reality show anymore. She should be on Shark Tank or something like that. Not fighting with catty Housewives.”

However, Bethenny’s rep denies that this was the reason she left RHONY.

“I have decided to leave the ‘Housewives’ franchise to explore my next chapter,” Bethenny said in a statement to Variety“It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have. My experience at Bravo has been an incredibly magical ride. I am so grateful to them for highlighting my entrepreneurialism and allowing me to pave the way for many women to achieve their goals. I am excited for my future. The best is yet to come.”

The Real Housewives of New York will return to Bravo for season 12 in early 2020.

Thoughts on these latest rumors surrounding Bethenny’s departure from RHONY? Do you believe Andy is pissed at Bethenny for leaving? Can you see Bethenny returning to RHONY again?
