Dorit Kemsley The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - RHOBH

PK Kemsley Accused Of Hiding Assets In $1.2 Million Dollar Lawsuit, Plus Dorit Kemsley Appears In Court!

Dorit Kemsley, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has been having to deal with legal situations lately. Dorit has also been ordered to reveal her finances in court as part of her husband’s $1.2 million dollar lawsuit. Her husband Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley had attempted to block the request – but it was denied by the judge. Dorit’s husband has a $1.2 million dollar lawsuit, that stems from a loan he received from a man named, Nicos Kirzis. He claims that PK hasn’t paid him back for the loan he gave him back in 2011.

According to Reality Blurb and court documents obtained, Nicos’ attorney accused PK of hiding his assets. Furthermore; he had asked that the judge deny PK’s claim to have the entire case dismissed. Back in 2012, PK filed for bankruptcy in the UK and was millions of dollars in debt. PK feels that Dorit shouldn’t have to show her finances in court because it was his bankruptcy, not hers. Nicos and his lawyer don’t see it that way, and they told the judge that PK never listed his loan as part of his debt when he had filed for bankruptcy. They claimed that the attempt to block Dorit from showing her finances was a “baseless delay tactic.”

Nicos’ lawyer stated, “Mr. Kemsley’s attempt is a baseless delay tactic by a Judgment Debtor who refuses to pay a Judgment that he indisputably owes. Despite living in a multi-million dollar mansion and being featured on a show highlighting his and his wife’s wealth and opulent lifestyle, Mr. Kemsley steadfastly refuses to pay his debts.”

The attorney claimed that “On September 19, 2016, the New York Court thus entered final judgment against Mr. Kemsley for $1.2 million, plus 9% post-judgment interest. Mr. Kemsley appealed that judgment, but later dropped the appeal on March 16, 2017, as part of a negotiated settlement that allowed Mr. Kirzis to enforce the New York Judgment if Mr. Kemsley failed to pay Mr. Kirzis as promised.” Per that agreement with Nicos, PK had paid back $250,000 dollars. However; he reportedly stopped making payments after. Nicos is attempting to collect the debt in a Beverly Hills court now.

The lawyer pointed out that PK and Dorit star on the RHOBH and showcase a lavish lifestyle. They feel this contradicts the fact that PK claims that he can’t afford to pay the loan. The statement read, “Mr. Kemsley has demonstrated repeatedly over the past three years that he will not pay the Judgment voluntarily. He claims to have no assets, yet he and his wife openly display their wealth on television and social media. This, of course, suggests that he has assets concealed somewhere. Mr. Kirzis is entitled to explore those assets through post-judgment discovery.”

According to The Blast, PK’s request to block Dorit from having to reveal her finances in court was denied during a hearing that was held on September 3rd. Nicos attempted to seize money from a City National Bank account under both PK and Dorit’s name, which caused their account to be frozen. Dorit argued in court that it was her money in that account, not PK’s. The account contained $29,634.10. Dorit appeared in Los Angeles Court on September 5th.
She had been ordered to appear in court with financial records, and according to the documents Dorit was “sworn, examined and discharged” after the hearing.

The couple’s legal situation is ongoing and a judge will decide if their account will be unfrozen or seized.

This sounds like it is a very complex, stressful situation. I hope that Dorit and PK are able to resolve this.
