Kathryn Dennis has been awarded joint temporary custody of her children! The Southern Charm star shared a photo with her son and daughter on August 18th after getting joint custody of her kids. Kathryn wrote alongside the photo, “First day at our new church.” She captioned it, “Sassy Kensie and little gentleman Saint. #emerging.”
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Kathryn was awarded joint custody despite the fact that Thomas had requested that she not be allowed custody of their children. Furthermore; Thomas will be the children’s primary legal guardian for now. Kathryn had lost custody of her kids back in 2016 after struggling with substance abuse. Kathryn had later regained custody of her children after treatment. It said on Southern Charm, “Thomas and Kathryn are joyfully coparenting and … Kathryn now has 50/50 custody of her children.”

According to Us Weekly, Kathryn had filed for a modification of custody and visitation after Thomas had been arrested for battery and assault in the second degree. This all stemmed from an alleged incident from January of 2015 that involved his children’s former nanny. As a result of all of the allegations against Thomas, Bravo did not have him return to Southern Charm. Thomas denied “any and all allegations of sexual assault.” Kathryn and Thomas have been going through a stressful custody battle ever since.
I’m glad that Kathryn finally has some happy news! Wishing them all the best!
