REPORT: Kyle Richards Is Begging Her Sister Kim Richards to Seek Treatment for Sobriety and Mental Health Issues

Kyle Richards is reportedly urging her sister Kim Richards to seek treatment, once again, for substance abuse and mental health issues.

“Kyle became aware that Kim was struggling in recent weeks and got extremely concerned based on what she was hearing,” one insider reveals to Us Weekly.

The source also notes that currently Kim, 54, isn’t “doing well.”

“Kyle isn’t a doctor and can’t make that determination, which is why she is trying to get Kim into treatment,” adds the source.

Sources say that Kim and Kyle have been “living their own lives for some time now,” but adds that they are on good terms.

“It’s going to be an ongoing conversation, but the good news is that Kim is being extremely receptive to Kyle, recognizing she is coming from a place of love,” the insider explains. “Kyle isn’t giving up and is trying again to get Kim to agree. It’s more for mental health than sobriety issues.”

Kim has not checked into treatment – yet. However, she has been noticeably missing on social media as of late.

This wouldn’t be Kim’s first time seeking treatment for substance abuse. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been to treatment multiple times for substance abuse over the years.

Kim’s battle with sobriety and her rocky relationship with Kyle has been documented on RHOBH since the show debuted in 2010.

While many fans feel that RHOBH only made Kim’s substance abuse issues worse, her sister Kyle insists the show saved her life.

“If anything, being on the show made her accountable and she says that as well,” Kyle explained on The Jenny McCarthy Show in June. “She says that it saved her life because, you know, there’s nowhere to hide and everyone knows — now anywhere she goes, people know who she is. She can’t get away with anything! So it actually helped her!”

Rumor has it that Kim is “in talks” to return to RHOBH for season 10. Neither Bravo or Kim have commented on the validity of said rumor.

Only time will tell if Kim returns to RHOBH or not but either way, Team AllAboutTRH wishes her the best. If there is any truth to this report we hope Kim takes the steps needed to get and remain healthy.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will return to Bravo for season 10 in early 2020.
