Melissa Gorga is getting candid about her foray into reality TV.
In a new interview with Us Weekly, Melissa admits she didn’t love the Real Housewives of New Jersey when she first joined the cast during season 3.
“It took me two seasons [to get used to it], so by the third season, I was like, ‘I don’t care what you say, I don’t care what you say and I don’t care what you say. Like, this is my opinion,’” Melissa admitted. “It took me two good seasons of, like, crying under my bed. Literally under my bed with, like, [husband] Joe [Gorga] having to pull me out by my ankles, and I’m like, ‘I’m not getting in the pickup line. The moms are going to stare at me!’”
“You are going to be shocked at some of the things that come out of Teresa’s mouth and out of mine. I would say, Teresa and I got very deep with things you have been waiting for us to say for years, and finally it’s getting said,” she hinted. “I think it’s shocking at the point that we are. We’re both very comfortable in our skin.”
Despite the drama, Melissa says she’s still on good terms with Teresa chalking it up to family ups and downs.
“Like, let’s just be what we are,” she explained. “We really do love each other. We really are family. When I’m with her, it’s family. … But, we do have kind of like that push-shove kind of thing sometimes.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey will return to Bravo for season 10 in late 2019.
