Watch What Happens Live - Andy Cohen

Andy Cohen Gets in Feud with Tituss Burgess on WWHL!

The great thing about WWHL is that it’s live. The bad thing for Andy Cohen and Bravo about WWHL? Anything can happen!

During last week’s episode, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Tituss Burgess was a guest and let’s just say things turned awkward when Andy Cohen brought up Eddie Murphy who Tituss recently worked with. Andy had mentioned that Eddie had been “very problematic for the gays at one point when I was coming up” however it seems Tituss was clearly caught off guard and wasn’t too happy about it. Take a look for yourself:

Tituss didn’t stop there and took to his social media to further shade Andy by stating:

“He should remember his talk show isn’t an episode of the real housewives of Atlanta! It’s a place where artists come to talk about art and have a little fun. NOT a place to rehash old rumors or bring a star negative press. He should rip a page from Anderson Cooper and learn how to do his job.”

As for Andy? He is making it clear that he isn’t taking part in the feud as he spoke out to Access stating: “He might be [feuding with me], I’m not.” Andy went on to mention that he didn’t mean to offend Tituss and that Tituss had actually been on the show four times.

I admit I don’t know a lot about Eddie Murphy’s past stand up comedy that Andy was referring to; however, I’m surprised Tituss didn’t just answer by saying that Eddie was great and then move on from it. Overall it was cringe worthy but with live TV anything can happen!

Do you think Andy’s question was shady? Did Tituss overreact?
