Wendy Williams is not becoming one of the NY Real Housewives despite reports that claim otherwise.
Rumor has it that Andy Cohen is begging Wendy to join the Real Housewives of New York even if its only for one season.
However, Page Six reports that this rumor is 100% false.
“There’s absolutely no way Wendy would ever join the Housewives franchise,” a source told Page Six. “It’s beneath her.”
Yet, if Wendy did participate in the reality show she would make it even more successful then it already is.
“But if she did do it, it would be the most-watched show on television!” the source gushed.
A second source also confirmed that the rumor isn’t true. Meanwhile, a rep for Bravo made it clear that the network doesn’t comment on casting.
During a recent appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Andy, who had not appeared on the show in six years, gushed about Wendy’s new single life following her split from Kevin Hunter.
“Your husband [Kevin Hunter] was not my biggest fan,” said Cohen. “I’ve been cheering you on for the last six years.”
He added, “I’m so excited about Wendy in the city.”
The Real Housewives of New York will return for season 12 in early 2020.
