Vicki Gunvalson was not only demoted for season 14 of the Real Housewives of Orange County but her hefty salary was also slashed!
The OG of the OC‘s whopping $1 million dollar RHOC salary took a major hit following her demotion.
According to an RHOC insider, Vicki has gone from earning $60,000 per episode to $20,000.
“With her $60,000 per episode before this, her ‘RHOC’ salary was approximately $1.26 million,” the source revealed to Radar Online. The source further noted that even if Vicki appeared in all 21 episodes of season 14 she would only be making $420,000 which is less than half of her former paycheck.
“A new Housewife begs for $5,000 an episode, so for Vicki to be getting that much she is very lucky,” confessed the source.
And it turns out that Vicki, most likely, will not be in all 21 episodes of season 14.
“Vicki likely won’t be in all of the episodes this season,” the insider said.
Meanwhile, another RHOC insider tells HollywoodLife that Vicki is “sad and disappointed” over her demotion.
“She felt a bit offended since she has dubbed herself the ‘OG of the OC,’ but she understands it is business and would love to earn a full-time orange again eventually,” the insider said.
“Vicki participated in the cast photoshoot and was expecting to be full-time at one point and the decision for her not to be full-time was told to her before awhile ago,” the source continued. “This decision did not happen overnight. The initial revelation that she would be a ‘friend’ did shock her, but she knew well before the trailer dropped. Despite this, she is keeping her head held high.”
