Lisa Vanderpump is the ultimate Beverly Hills Barbie – the house, the glam life, the cars, the little dogs and so much more which made her fabulous piece of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills puzzle.
But now that LVP’s reign on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has come to an end, she’s reflecting about her time on the show.
In an interview with Metro.News, the former RHOBH star reveals if she regrets joining the show that made her famous. Lisa also opens about which former co-star she still talks to while making a few digs at the rest of her former friends.
Lisa was first asked about how she became apart of RHOBH and if she was really friends with her season 1 co-stars.
“When it was the original cast I lived opposite Adrienne Maloof and I was approached a couple of times to audition for it, so I did. But if I knew then what I knew now,” Lisa explained.
So, does LVP regret doing RHOBH?
“No, I have no regrets,” Lisa admits. “I regret doing this season of Housewives because it’s been so ridiculous, the whole thing and been so hard to deal with.”
Lisa goes on to explain that she just quit RHOBH after her co-stars attacked her all season long. While the interviewer asked if the show eggs the ladies on, Lisa insists it’s the women that do the egging on and not producers.
“Yeah, I quit. Five women, coming at me from all directions…,” Lisa said before adding, “I think they probably egg each other on but it was something I just didn’t want to be a part of anymore. I had a very hard year last year and I wasn’t as emotionally strong.”
“Not at all. I mean, it’s all aired out on TV. You see the whole cast turn against me. I occasionally speak to Camille Grammer. I mean, they flipping throw all things at me so I decided to walk away. Thankfully, the audience saw the truth and supported me and really helped me through,” Lisa said.
Despite the drama on RHOBH Lisa says the show hasn’t taken the shine off of living in Beverly Hills.
“Oh no. It’s taken the shine off being on the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, that’s for sure! I quit because I’m not going to compromise my happiness being around women that are so… I’m trying to find the right word…” Lisa said trailing off.
The interviewer then helped Lisa out and interjected “Bitchy?”
“That’s what other people are saying but I can’t. But I could agree with you.”
As for Lisa’s other reality TV show Vanderpump Rules, she gushed about the show’s success and her love for the cast.
“I love them all. I really do. I mean, of course, they’re a pain in the a**e but I’ve loved them and seen them grow up and I have a good relationship with all of them,” Lisa concluded. “It’s been very successful. It’s unusual for a spin-off to have eight seasons and still be stated by Vogue as the most perfect reality show in the US.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST.
