However, insiders say Kyle doesn’t think it’s the best move to keep peace in their family.
“It would be very hard for Kyle if her sister Kathy came on the show. Kyle has worked really hard to get to a good place with her sisters Kathy and Kim[Richards], and she knows if Kathy actually were to join RHOBH, it would probably tear their family apart again and hurt their relationship,” a source close to Kyle tells HollywoodLife. As many RHOBH fans know that Kyle and Kim have had some pretty nasty fights during their time on the show together. And, Kyle and Kathy have had some very public past rifts as well, some which have aired on RHOBH.
“Kyle knows viewers would love to see Kathy and believes she’d make a great housewife, but deep down, she’s hoping it doesn’t happen,” the insider reveals, noting that Kyle has experience and seen what has happened between family members on other franchises has done to relationships, and it’s usually not pretty. “She saw what the Giudice and the Gorga families we went through, and she just doesn’t want that for her family,” the insider says.
Kyle touched upon the rumors during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“I mean, I would be happy … I’ve had one sister on, why not have another sister on?” Kyle said of her sister Kathy joining RHOBH, pointing out that Kathy is one of the “funniest” people. “She’s a practical joker and she’s very, very funny. So I think she would be an amazing Housewife, actually,” Kyle added.
Meanwhile, Lisa Vanderpump finds it “sad” that her former best friend Kyle thinks she’s a liar about watching season 9 of RHOBH.
On last Tuesday’s episode of WWHL, Kyle revealed that she thinks LVP is lying about watching season 9 because she “tweets about the episodes.”
However, the former RHOBH star is also unbothered by Kyle’s comments because she knows their friendship is truly over.
“Lisa finds it sad that Kyle called her a liar, but she isn’t that bothered at all by Kyle calling her a liar on WWHL last night,” a source tells HollywoodLife. “In Lisa’s eyes, Kyle has made it clear that she feels Lisa is a liar about everything so Lisa knows no matter what, Kyle is going to feel one way and Lisa will feel another, but Lisa feels she’s always truthful and adamant she isn’t a liar. At the end of the day though, Lisa is truly sad that her friendship with Kyle has ended. She was sad when her friendship ended with Brandi [Glanville] but this one hurts much deeper. Kyle truly was one of her closest friends.”
On the other hand, Vanderpump is focused on bigger and better things since announcing her departure from RHOBH.
“Lisa is rapidly moving on so many new and exciting projects it’s been a godsend she left the drama and bullying of the Housewives behind her,” a separate insider explains. “As much as the show gave her a platform to champion and showcase all the causes near and dear to her heart, one of the luxuries of no longer being a part of the franchise after nine mostly wonderful years, is not having to respond to the negativity of the remaining housewives. Maybe they can now focus on some worthwhile causes of their own to benefit humanity instead of bullying and bashing Lisa.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST.
