Lisa Vanderpump recently rocked the Bravo world when she announced in an interview that she was quitting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and probably would not be attending the reunion taping. According to E! News, in an interview for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Lisa joked that she wondered if production kept in her line telling the other women to “go f—k themselves.” LVP also made it clear she has no desire to be part of what she perceives as five women against one—her. LVP said, “To have five against one is just, you know, it’s not a good place. I just think it’s something I would never encourage and never condone…For me, I just would never be part of that.”
Lisa has other things going on in her personal life and professional life. She has a successful career running upscale restaurants and lounges. Plus, she has her Bravo spinoff Vanderpump Rules. Lisa explained, “I’ve always said I’m not just a Housewife, I didn’t make a career out of being a Housewife. Housewives has documented my life. I don’t have time for bulls—t negative minutiae, I don’t.”
What are Lisa’s future plans? She shared, “I will continue to run my businesses, five restaurants, the dog center, dog center in China, my political kind of activity in fighting for many things, LGBTQ, humane treatment for dogs, working with Trevor Project, the suicide prevention, Vegas, there’s only one of me. My Housewives will probably say thank God.”
Lisa’s co-star and former best friend, Kyle Richards, seems ready to make amends. The two had a major falling out this season and have not repaired their friendship. Kyle had shared, “If Lisa were to all of a sudden show up, of course at first, we’d be a little bit taken aback, but everybody wants to move forward so much. We’ll work through this. I think it’d be actually better if you were here and joined us and we worked through it together instead of via Twitter and stories…this sort of backdoor situation happening.”
Lisa stopped filming with the other Real Housewives she and Kyle fought over whether or not she gave stories to the press about Dorit Kemsley and a dog Dorit adopted from LVP’s dog shelter. Lisa vehemently denies any involvement with that. LVP filmed with Denise Richards, Camille Grammer and Dorit separately. However; she didn’t go to group events and she took her photo separately for the cast photo shoot.
LVP’s former friend and RHOBH alum, Brandi Glanville, returned to the show last night. Brandi met with Denise for dinner and drinks and said, “She does have a direct hotline to RadarOnline, to be honest.” Denise replied, “I don’t know her well enough to know if she leaked it or not,” and Brandi stated, “Well, she did. For sure.”
Many are speculating that LVP will change her mind and return for season 10. Casting is still up in the air. I can’t picture the RHOBH without LVP. This is sad news if she isn’t returning, but I understand why she wouldn’t want to. However; even if she does choose not to come back next season – she always could come back later on down the road. I’m hoping all of the ladies can make amends, I just think it’ll take time. Stay tuned, loves!
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays, 9 p.m. on Bravo.
