Kyle Richards Shares Why She Got So Emotional During Her Mammogram On RHOBH!

Kyle Richards shared an intimate and emotional moment on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on the last episode when she had a mammogram. The doctor told Kyle that they had to take extra images outside of the normal procedure, and she became emotional and started to cry. Her results ended up being completely fine, but Kyle was very nervous during that period of time on the RHOBH. Kyle recently shared why she got so emotional during this!

Kyle had explained in the episode that it’s difficult for her to have mammograms done because her mother, Kathleen Richards, died of breast cancer in 2002. Kyle explained, “This test gives me so much anxiety, but the reason my mom died of breast cancer is because she didn’t go get a mammogram for five years. So if my mom had gone, maybe she would still be there, and I’m haunted by that thought all the time.”

Kyle recently opened up more about why she decided to share this on the RHOBH. Kyle shared on Twitter, “I lost my mom to breast cancer in 2002. The fact that she hadn’t had a mammogram in 5 years haunts me. I really wanted to show this to bring awareness re early detection and as a reminder to get checked.” Kyle also thanked the fans for their kind words, tweeting, “I was scared to do this with cameras but felt it was important.”

Kyle also recently honored her mom on Mother’s Day. She shared, “My Mom taught me that being a Mother is the most important job in the world, to be strong, dream big and that I could achieve whatever I wanted in life. Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing women out there.”

I’m glad that Kyle shared this on the RHOBH to raise awareness. It’s a very emotional time for a woman, and it’s so important to have routine mammograms done. This was such a genuine scene on the RHOBH.
