Are things about to get really real for Kyle Richards and husband Mauricio Umansky?
According to The Blast, Kyle and hubby Mauricio may be feeling the heat as it is being reported that their $32 million dollar lawsuit may ask for the participation and input from their Beverly Hills costars:
“According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the man suing Mauricio Umansky and his company has informed the court he is after “communications with any of the performed, producers, directors, writers, or any other persons affiliated with the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ television show related to the property or this action.”
It appears the house was shown front and center on a previous season as it was the house used for Kyle’s ‘Great Gatsby’ themed party:
Guests included Dorit Kemsley, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi and Lisa Vanderpump so potentially they could find themselves involved with this messy legal battle.
The details of the case are a bit confusing; however to put it in layman’s terms, the mansion in question had been seized by the U.S. government from Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, who allegedly used funds stolen from his home country. Umansky then sold the home to a man named Mauricio Oberfeld for $32.5 million; however, the seller accused Mauricio of neglecting to inform him that prior to the sale, Umansky received much higher side-offers. Umansky also allegedly never disclosed he had partnered with the buyer to purchase the property. Mauricio then sold the home for a profit of $37 million.
To be clear, Mauricio has denied all wrongdoings and has said that the entire transaction was “subject to terms of a settlement agreement between the seller and the United States Government.”
This whole lawsuit confuses me and the fact that they are looking for the cast of RHOBH to get involved adds a whole other layer. I’m sure LVP won’t be holding back if she is asked for her two cents!
