Lisa Vanderpump isn’t tip-toeing around her rumored exit from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
In fact, LVP is saying she’s had “enough” of the drama on RHOBH and is ready to leave it all behind.
“After 380 episodes sometimes you have got to say – okay enough,” Lisa told DailyMailTV on Thursday.
This is the biggest hint LVP has ever given about leaving RHOBH.
One reason LVP is keen on leaving RHOBH is the drama with her two good friends Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards. Vanderpump admits she’s still “hurt” from the fallout with Dorit and Kyle and that her on-screen fight with Kyle did not leave her “in a good place mentally.”
The restauranteur also owns up to the fact that she “floundered” during season 9 of RHOBH. Vanderpump admits she took on too much which is why she had to just walk away mid-season.
“Unfortunately this season in Housewives it just became too much for me, where I was in my life at the time, personal things I was dealing with I did not cope so well,” Lisa confesses.“So I was not as ready to take on maybe what Housewives entailed. I just floundered.”
“I opened Tom Tom, I brought that to fruition, I was working hard on this. We were working hard with our philanthropy with our dogs. We are opening a sanctuary in China. We had a lot of things going on.”
She continued: “I lost my only sibling, I was doing Vanderpump Rules – I am an EP on that. There was a lot going on. And all this stuff I think it was unfair. And it kept coming at me. It just became too much really.”
As for rumors that RHOBH is scripted and fake, Vanderpump says there was nothing “fake” about her emotions. Adding, that her overly emotional moments throughout season 9 “have never been more real.”
“I think if it was scripted it would not hurt so much. Unfortunately, when I was filming last year I was not in a good place myself mentally,” Lisa explains.
Circling back to RHOBH being “too much” for Lisa, she says reality TV is different for her because unlike other Housewives she’s a businesswoman first and foremost.
“I am not a housewife that created a business… and to me when I signed up to Housewives it was a lot of fun. Being a restaurateur, businesswoman and philanthropist is paramount to me. So I will continue to do that after Housewives because that is what I do,” she said.
Lisa admits that due to her busy schedule she needs a break from RHOBH.
“I think we all get to a point where we need a break at some time,” Lisa admits.
However, LVP isn’t getting that much of a break as season 8 of Vanderpump Rules starts filming very soon.
“But I think I have got another 10 days before I start filming Vanderpump Rules again – so not too much of a break,” she concludes.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
