Bravo honcho, Andy Cohen, has recently revealed that he signed the petition to keep Teresa Giudice’s husband, Joe Giudice, from being deported from the United States back to Italy. Joe is in the middle of an ongoing immigration and deportation case, afer filing an appeal after his request was denied. Teresa and Joe are getting support from Andy! He recently spoke to Us Weekly at the GLAAD Awards, where he was being honored. When ashed about whether or not Joe would be deported, Andy answered, “I don’t know, I hope not.” Andy added, “I signed the petition.”
Star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa, has shared the petition to keep her husband in America. Their daughter, Gia Giudice, created the petition. Fans of the RHONJ have been creating petitions and sharing the Giudice’s as well. Joe served a 41-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud back in 2014.
Gia described her dad as “a businessman, a husband, father to four young women all under the age of 19, son, brother, uncle and friend to many.” She noted that though he was “found guilty of NON Violent offenses” he has since “fought tirelessly to pay back every single penny of restitution [the] court deemed they owe.”
Gia explained, “My father is there for us in every possible way a father could be. He has always been our handyman, our [confidante], our cheerleader, our challenger and most importantly our protector. This [deportation] would rob us of my father screaming from the stands at our graduations, meeting our future husbands for the first time, of walking us down the aisle, of being there when his grandchildren come into the world.”
The petition has since received over 86,000 signatures.
I have signed the petition! I’m hoping for the best for them all. I’m glad that Andy signed the petition.
