Are Joe and Melissa desperate to sell their New Jersey mansion? It appears to be so!
The couple have been trying to sell their house since 2017, originally saying that they wanted to move so their children wouldn’t have to go to school with Teresa’s daughters. The families have since made amends; however their house has since been re-listed multiple times with different reasons given each time the house went on the market.
Melissa had mentioned she would like to move to California, even joking she could join the RHOBH; however claims the real reason is the family trying “to get a little closer to where my children are gonna go to high school, if that makes any sense.”
The mansion, often seen on the RHONJ was originally listed for $3.5 million, dropped to $3.3 million in 2018 then slashed down to $2.95 million most recently. The couple had made renovations including adding a pool and redecorating to give it a more modern and fresh feel. Melissa even appeared on an episode of Open House giving a tour and encouraging viewers to call if they were interested:
Apparently owning a mega-mansion in Jersey may not be the best investment as they are not the only ones having trouble finding buyers. The Lauritas have notoriously put their mansion on the market many times due to financial strains with no buyers in sight. Chris and Jacqueline originally listed their mansion for $2.85 million and recently reduced the price to an all time low of $1.95 million.
I can’t imagine the cost of the upkeep alone on these homes so I’m not shocked that they aren’t selling like hotcakes. Perhaps They can enlist the help of real estate extraordinaire Fredrick Eklund from MDLNY?
