Did Erika Girardi accusing LVP of purchasing bots backfire? Perhaps!
Yesterday we reported that Erika Girardi had assumed that LVP’s ferocious fans were bots (for original story click here) however that may have backfired for fellow RHOBH Lisa Rinna. Fans were quick to bring up a 2018 DailyMail article that showcased “Twitter followers vanishing after feds open probe into social media ‘black market’ for bots.”
The bombshell article stated that stars such as “Singer Clay Aiken, Baroness Martha Lane-Fox, reality TV star Lisa Rinna, British rowing Olympic champion James Cracknell, as well as actor John Leguziamo were all revealed to have purchased fake followers.”
This was uncovered after “celebrities and social media influencers were watching their Twitter followers dwindle by the millions after it was revealed that many are guilty of paying for fake accounts to follow them.” In the words of Felicity Huffman – Ruh Roh! As of now, Rinna hasn’t responded to this accusation; however if it’s true, I’m sure Rinna will eventually “own it!”
On a more positive note, Harry Hamlin is dishing on their long and happy marriage, and it has nothing to do with purchasing followers. According to Harry, he and Lisa “have a very functional relationship and we respect each other and listen to each other and admire each other and we let each other be. We’re not helicopter husband and wife.”
I love Lisa and Harry’s relationship and give them credit for making their marriage work in a town infamous for infidelity and messy divorces. What I’m not loving? If you’re going to accuse someone else of purchasing followers you better make sure you haven’t done the same thing in the past!
