Teresa Giudice The Real Housewives of New Jersey - RHONJ

Joe Giudice Wishes He Could Go Back In Time; Sources Say ‘He’s So Remorseful’

Joe Giudice is wishing he could turn back time as awaits his fate in ICE custody.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is filled with regret as he faces deportation to Italy, where he was born.

“Joe wishes he could go back in time and do things differently,” a source tells HollywoodLife. “He’s so remorseful. He’s truly learned his lesson and sees what this has done to his family. The whole situation is very challenging and straining.”

While Joe sits in ICE custody following his release from prison, Teresa Giudice is “making all her decisions based on the girls’ best interest at heart, and not her own,” reveals the source of the couples four daughters – Gia, 18, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 9. “Her job is to protect them. And, Joe also agrees it’s best for the girls to stay in the states,” if is deported.

“The situation is extremely tough for all of them, but they both really do want what’s best for the girls,” the source admits. “There’s really no easy answer here, but Joe is remaining as optimistic as possible given the circumstances as he really does believe he may not get deported. They haven’t been in public, both free in over three years, so it’s kind of become a way of life for both of them.”

In February, Teresa revealed that she and Joe would go their separate ways if was deported. The RHONJ star also said she would not move her kids to Italy.

“I mean, unless my kids say, ‘Mommy, I want to move to Italy. Gia’s going to college next year; I haven’t spoken to Milania or Audriana about it, we haven’t gotten there yet; Gabriella already voiced her opinion to me. She was like, ‘That would be so hard for me, Mommy.’ She doesn’t speak the language. She’s like, ‘That would kill me even more.’”

Adding that her four daughters have “been through so much already.”

“I’m not doing a long-distance relationship. I’m not doing it. You know, I want somebody with me every day. I know exactly what happens. You know, I’m sure he’ll be with other women. It happens. We do the long-distance thing, it’s not going to work. I’d be like, ‘Bye, bye,’” Teresa revealed at the RHONJ season 9 reunion.

Although it’s been a tough time for the Giudice family, Teresa’s longtime friend Dolores Catania says that Tre is remaining strong: “So, speaking for her as far as knowing her the way I do, she’s strong, she’s moving forward.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey are currently filming season 10.
