Ramona Singer has no filter and says whatever pops into her head! This season of The Real Housewives of New York is no different. However; sometimes Ramona regrets the things she says. She recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and opened up about her comments about Bethenny Frankel’s late boyfriend Dennis Shields, RHONY newbie Barbara Kavovit, and co-parenting with her ex-husband, Mario Singer. Ramona covered it all, so grab the pinot grigio because it’s turtle time!
Ramona made some comments about Bethenny’s late boyfriend Dennis not being smart because he did drugs. However; Ramona is now remorseful about it. When she was asked about it on WWHL she said, “Actually I saw it, we get the episodes one week before, I don’t even recall saying it. I was appalled. I’m trying to be less filtered, I was appalled.” Andy corrected her and said she means she wishes she was more filtered. “That’s what I meant, I’m so nervous, I’m so upset,” she said. Ramona explained, “I was so upset, I was mortified, I cried. I was like ‘Oh my God, Oh my God. I couldn’t believe this. I texted her and I just said I don’t even know what to say I’m so upset.”
Did Bethenny respond? Yes! Ramona explained, “Yeah, she said, ‘I don’t even know what to say.’ You have to say nothing. Because what can you even say? It’s terrible.”
As for the RHONY newbie, Barbara Kavovit, Ramona said she actually doesn’t dislike her. Andy pointed out that she doesn’t like the newbie, though. Ramona said, “No, I don’t dislike her. I don’t adore her and love her. Listen, you can’t love everyone.”
Ramona is focused on co-parenting with her ex-husband, Mario Singer. In fact, she had dinner with him and their daughter the night before.
Are they friends with benefits? No!
Ramona explained, “You know what, we’re friendly now. But you know what, I could never be with him again. What we had was very special, and very good, but you know things move on.”
Compassion is what is required to co-parent. Ramona explained, “It’s very important for your children, when you get divorced for the children, you have to be compassionate. You need to be, it’s very important. I made myself be that way and we are.”
This was a fun episode of WWHL! I agree with what Ramona said about having compassion, especially when you’re co-parenting. I think she is being genuine about feeling bad about what she said about Bethenny and Dennis. I’m glad she reached out and apologized to Bethenny. As for the newbie Barbara, they could end up friends down the road even if they’re not close right now. I’m looking forward to watching this season of the RHONY play out!
