On Wednesday’s episode of the Real Housewives of New York, Ramona Singer put her foot in her mouth big time.
Ramona made an extremely flippant comment about Bethenny Frankel’s late boyfriend Dennis Sheilds.
Dennis died of a prescription drug overdose in August 2018.
When the subject of Dennis came up, Ramona said to a stunned Sonja Morgan and Tinsley Mortimer: “How smart can Dennis be? I mean, he was on drugs.”
Tinsley and Sonja quickly shut down Ramona and made it clear that her comment was out of line.
“Don’t say that,” a shocked Sonja screeched out. “He didn’t drink. He didn’t do drugs. He took painkillers.”
“No, let’s not,” Tinsley said in response to Ramona’s comment before telling Sonja, “We’re not talking about that.”
Ramona’s comment also left fans shaking their heads.
Now, Ramona is apologizing to Bethenny and Dennis’ family.
“I cringed when I saw what I said about Dennis in tonight’s episode,” Ramona tweeted just before Wednesday’s episode of RHONY. “It definitely wasn’t one of my finer moments. I respected and liked him very much and I sincerely apologize to his family and Bethenny for my thoughtless comments.”
The Real Housewives of New York star posted a similar statement on her Instagram stories.
No word on what Bethenny thinks about Ramona’s comment about Dennis or her apology. But I’m sure B will be ripping Ramona a new one any day now. If we are lucky she’ll save it for the reunion and we all get to witness it firsthand.
