Joe Gorga has a message for everyone: Leave Joe Giudice alone.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star opened up to Page Six about how his brother-in-law is doing since being released from prison and taken into ICE custody.
“I’ve spoken to him. He’s doing great,” Gorga told the publication. “He’s really upset. Obviously, he’s not happy. He did his time and he’s at another facility right now. It’s not a nice place. Listen, he just wants to be home with his kids, his family. You know that’s it. I mean he’s very — he’s not a happy camper.”
Joe was handed over to ICE following his release from prison on March 14, 2019. He is currently awaiting a decision on his appeal that would ultimately dictate if he stays in the United States or is deported to Italy.
For now, Joe’s case is in limbo, which means he will remain in ICE custody until his appeal is reviewed. Joe’s appeal could take up to a year to be reviewed and unless a court releases Joe he will remain in custody until a decision is made.
“Imagine how you’re doing your time, you did your three years and now you gotta go through this nonsense,” Gorga added. “I get it. Listen, he did something wrong. He got penalized for it. He did his time. He was good about it. He did it. You know, he’s got four little girls here. He married an American citizen. It’s not like he murdered or raped anybody. I mean, leave the guy alone, you know. But I guess the law is the law.”
As for Teresa Giudice, she has yet to publicly comment on her husband since he was taken into custody by ICE.
However, Teresa and Joe’s daughters, Gia and Milania Giudice, have publicly vowed to continue fighting for their dad. The teenagers posted messages of support for him on March 14.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently filming its 10th season.
