Bethenny Frankel may or may not be returning to the Real Housewives of New York for season 12 as she scales back on work mode in favor of being an even more hands-on mom.
But before we get into that let’s talk about the SkinnyGirl mogul’s decision to “wind things down” when it comes to her hectic and crazy career.
In court last week, Bethenny revealed her plans to scale back on her career in order to focus more on her personal life including her 8-year-old daughter Bryn.
“I’ve chosen to wind things down,” Bethenny revealed on Wednesday, March 6, while testifying in her custody trial against ex-husband Jason Hoppy. “It goes from having nothing to being successful to being comfortable.”
Bethenny said she wanted to work less in order “to have a better quality of life” and “lighten [her] load.”
“I was feeling stressed with not being with Bryn, and I have been managing this very contentious situation with Jason. This ongoing, horrible situation has been another job,” she explained. “Managing it has effects [on] all areas of my life. Going through the six-and-a-half-year nightmare and trying to separate that from my daughter and from my work, I was getting pulled in so many different directions, and something has to give. I want a better quality of life, more time.”
So, what are Bethenny’s career plans moving forward? Well, she plans to spend the next year focusing on her partnership with HSN and working on producing new TV shows.
As for her role on the Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny told the court she could “possibly” continue working in reality TV “if I decided to return to the Housewives.”
For now, we just have to wait and see how the chips may fall for Bethenny. But I have a feeling the B will be back for season 12 of RHONY.
The Real Housewives of New York airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
