It’s over as fast as it started for Danielle Staub and Oliver Maier.
Multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly that Danielle and Oliver have ended their short-lived romance and engagement.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was set to marry Maier in a justice of the peace ceremony on Monday in New York City after only six weeks of dating.
However, Danielle and Maier postponed their plans to walk down the aisle after Danielle’s daughters, Christine and Jillian, objected to their mother rushing into another marriage.
While the couple did go engagement ring shopping over the weekend, sources say that Maier didn’t actually buy a ring for Danielle.
“I am really looking forward to making a new life for myself with Oliver and putting my life on a positive and productive path,” Danielle told Us when announcing her engagement. “This is a new beginning for me and I am excited to see all that it brings.”
This split comes less than two weeks after Danielle finalized her divorce from ex-husband Marty Caffrey. Bravo captured Danielle and Marty’s May 2018 wedding in the Bahamas for season 9 of RHONJ. However, their happily ever after was short-lived and after less than four months of marriage, the couple called it quits.
It’s unknown if Danielle’s latest romance will be featured on RHONJ but she is expected to return as a friend of the Housewives for season 10, which is set to begin filming sometime in March 2019.
Are you surprised Danielle and Oliver have split? Was Danielle’s latest relationship one big publicity stunt? Was Danielle trying to get attention so Bravo would make her a full-time Housewife for season 10? Sound off below!
