Danielle Staub‘s new man Oliver Maier is speaking out about their romance. Turns out Oliver and Danielle don’t care what anyone thinks about their relationship including his ex-girlfriend, who happens to be Danielle’s friend. Well, maybe ex-friend is a better term to use.
In a statement to Page Six, Maier denies cheating on his ex-girlfriend with the Real Housewives of New Jersey star.
“I ended my relationship with Gina because it was not working,” he told Page Six. “My current relationship with Danielle did not have anything to do with that decision. I have no interest in a current or future relationship with Gina. Since our relationship ended she has been harassing me and my family, as well as trying to use this situation as an opportunity to get on the show and promote her boutique. She needs to stop this childish behavior, act like an adult and move on with her life.”
According to sources, Danielle and Maier have been friends for a while but only became “romantically involved” in the last few weeks. Maier whisked Danielle off to St. Barths on Sunday and on Monday they announced their relationship on Instagram.
After Danielle made her big announcement her former friend Margaret Josephs took to Twitter to comment on her new romance.
“A very classy move. She’s sleeping with one of her best friends boyfriends she knows for one week true love for sure [sic]!” Margaret tweeted.
As of now, Danielle has yet to open up more about her relationship but according to her Instagram she’s full of “happiness” and is living her best life.
