As of now, Joe Giudice won’t be returning to his Montville, NJ home following his release from prison on March 14, 2019.
According to Radar Online, ICE plans to immediately detain Joe after he completes his three-year prison sentence. Meaning that the Real Housewives of New Jersey staple will be placed in an ICE detention center right away.
“ICE expects the Bureau of Prisons Allenwood Low Federal Correctional Institution to honor our detainer, and Mr. Guidice will be taken into ICE custody,” an official reveals to Radar.
As we previously reported, a judge ruled in October that Joe must be deported to Italy.
“I’ve been here my whole life, I wouldn’t know what to do in any other country,” Joe told the judge via teleconference. “I want to stay here.”
“I get no joy in telling a family this news,” Judge Ellington responded. “Mr. Giudice, no matter how this turns out, I wish you the best. I decided this case as a matter of law.”
Joe is currently fighting this decision and has filed an appeal to overturn Judge Ellington’s ruling. But with barely two weeks left in his sentence time is ticking away for Joe and his family.
If Joe doesn’t win his appeal he will be deported to Italy and never allowed to return to the United States.
For now, we just have to wait and see what happens with Joe’s appeal. Hopefully, the judge makes a decision on Joe’s appeal sooner rather than later.
This is just heartbreaking to hear. I wish they would at least let Joe go home and spend a day or two with his family. Ugh, hopefully, a miracle happens and Joe can stay in the USA.
