Danielle Staub and Marty Caffrey have finalized their divorce after 10 months of marriage.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star “happily flaunted her divorce papers” as she left the Bergen County courthouse on Thursday.
Danielle tells TMZ that she’s “so relieved” to be divorced and is glad “didn’t take his name.” She also made sure to take a few digs at her ex-husband.
“Who wants to be called Caffrey?” Danielle stated. “Staub is my name don’t forget it.” Danielle also called Marty “thirsty.”
Furthermore, Danielle claims that she will “absolutely” be purchasing their $2 million home. As for all their wedding presents Danielle will be keeping them as well. Danielle says that Marty’s family and friends never sent them any wedding gifts so he’s not entitled to any of the gifts they did receive.
However, Page Six reports that as part of the divorce settlement, Danielle has to return all the wedding presents to Marty and repay all her debts to him. Danielle will also have to pay for all the furniture inside their house if she does purchase it.
Danielle will have until April to purchase the home or move out. As for Marty, he will continue living in the house until it sells to Danielle or someone else.
While Danielle may be happily celebrating her divorce, Marty, on the other hand, is feeling bittersweet.
