The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Teresa Giudice, has been going through a lot when it comes to the legal situation with her husband, Joe Giudice. They are currently waiting to find out if he’s going to be deported back to Italy. He came to the United States when he was just a baby. The couple appealed the deportation decision but haven’t gotten the verdict back yet. Teresa initially had said that Italy is a beautiful place to live, and that they would cross that bridge when they come to it. However; recently she revealed that she wouldn’t be moving to Italy if he was deported. Teresa’s life is here in America, the same goes for her four daughter’s lives. Teresa’s father, Giacinto Gorga, also lives with her in New Jersey. Teresa had stated in earlier seasons of the RHONJ that she wanted to buy a house in Italy or fix up the properties that her family owns. People are wondering if now is the chance for her to do it, especially because they have family there. Many people have been speculating if Teresa and Joe will divorce, if they’ll have a long distance marriage if he gets deported, or if she will live their part-time. Teresa’s sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, recently weighed in on the situation!
Melissa stated that she doesn’t think Teresa will be moving to Italy anytime soon! Melissa told Us Weekly, “I don’t think so. But I guess we’ll have to see.” Melissa said they are all just waiting to find out the final decision. She added, “Nobody knows anything yet. Everyone’s waiting for the final answer. We’re just sitting back and praying.”
Teresa weighed in on the situation during the RHONJ season 9 reunion taping in January, and she admitted that they will probably “go our separate ways” if the deportation goes through. Teresa had also told Entertainment Tonight in October that she will not divorce Joe if he has to leave. She said, “No. We’re going to be a family. We’re going to fight this and get through this.” After filming for the reunion, outlets were reporting that Teresa felt conflicted about whether or not she would leave Joe. There has been a lot of back and forth, and nothing is actually decided yet. Teresa and Joe both have a lot of family in Italy, and they’ve taken trips to Italy on the RHONJ as well.
Teresa said that she is focusing on her children right now. According to Us Weekly insiders, Teresa, “has been feeling conflicted for a little while now” about the future of her marriage to Joe if he is deported. Nothing is set in stone yet.
I hope that Teresa and Joe are able to make it work and I’m wishing them all the best!
