It’s now been three years since beloved Mob Wives star Angela Raiola AKA Big Ang passed away from cancer. The Mob Wives cast have been remembering Big Ang on social media as the anniversary of her passing happened this month. Big Ang’s sister, Janine Deotre, is keeping Big Ang’s memory alive by writing a book about their lives together! Janine recently revealed to Radar Online, “I’m writing a book about our life together. My goal is to have it out by her 60th birthday. It will include a ‘Fun Facts’ page with things people didn’t know about her.”
Janine is working on getting the book out by June 2020, and she’s also planning a 60th birthday bash for her in June 2020. Janine shared, “I’m going to do a birthday and fundraiser. I want to show everybody her films from years ago before Mob Wives. It would be fun.” Janine wants to give the funds raised to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Janine explained, “When my sister was sick, she was down and depressed. She used to watch the St. Jude’s channel. She used to say, ‘At least I had 55 years!'”
Jennifer Graziano, creator and executive producer of Mob Wives, confirmed last year that a Mob Wives reboot is in the works.
R.I.P. Big Ang! I will definitely read Janine’s book when it comes out. It’s clear that she genuinely loves her sister so much. I read Big Ang’s book when it came out, so it would be fun to read Janine’s book about their lives together. I was lucky enough to meet Big Ang and have her sign my copy, she was so sweet and hilarious! I can’t believe it’s already been three years since she passed away, I went to her wake in Brooklyn and the taping of the special that VH1 did about her life. Big Ang really made Mob Wives so good! I’ll watch the reboot if they finish doing it, but I don’t know what it will be like without Big Ang because nobody can fill her shoes!
