Give Them Lala: Lala Kent Reminisces About Love, Sobriety, Pump Rules And Her Beauty Line!

Give them Lala!

Star of Vanderpump Rules, Lala Kent, is taking a walk down memory lane and looking towards the future. The Pump Rules fixture recently shared her favorite photo from her shoot with Cosmopolitan and put the article link in her Instagram bio section. Lala wrote, “One of my favorites from the @cosmopolitan shoot. Talking to Cosmo was a highlight for me. Not only was I able to talk about the success of my baby, #GiveThemLalaBeauty, but most importantly, I opened up for the first time about my struggle with alcohol and my new found love for sobriety. Click the link in my bio to read.” She opened up about self love, her fiancé, the show, her sobriety and her new beauty line ‘Give Them Lala.’

Lala shared this photo and post:

Lala also recently shared about how self love is the best love. Lala wrote, “I believe everyone should be in love with themselves. Think about what that means… When you’re in love, that means you’ve accepted that person, imperfections and all. Why wouldn’t you want to show yourself that kind of love.”

Lala told Cosmo “it’s exhausting being a chick” and opened up about love, her fiancé, Vanderpump Rules and her beauty line ‘Give Them Lala.’ Lala discussed how she calls her fiancé Randall Emmett ‘Rand’ for short and “Daddy husband,” chose sobriety “I said enough’s enough,” and revealed she grew up in a naked house: “Bring the boobies out, make the booty clap.” (It’s shown on the series that she loves going topless when swimming on vacation.) Lala also talked about being a feminist saying, “My dad taught me, Never let anybody tell you no.” Lala sadly lost her father last year.

Lala sees similarities between her husband to be and her late father. She explained, “There’s like, that saying where you marry people that are like your dad. And I never thought that that was true until I totally found someone who is just like my dad, which I am so grateful for because my dad treated my mom like she was queen of all queens. So, we actually met at Sur. How crazy is that?! He came in for a Christmas dinner and sent his assistant up to me and asked me if he could get my manager’s contact info because he wanted me in a film. And so then we started that whole process, I booked the film and then we just had this instant connection.”

This was during Lala’s first season on the show. “I was like, OK, I’m going to let my guard down. Whatever’s happening, I like it, you know? He makes me laugh. Give it a try. And we’ve been together almost three years now,” she gushed.

Lala said, “He’s my best friend. He takes care of my heart and my soul. That’s important when you’re in a relationship. You have to marry your best friend. What’s better than being able to have sex with your best friend?”

Lala also made a choice to quit drinking and better herself. She said, “I felt like I was falling into a pattern. But I am actually, for real now, completely sober. I’ve never been happier. So I know it’s something I’ll have to deal with on a day-to-day basis, but it’s the right decision for me. My fiancé always says I have this sixth sense where I know when things have gotten to a point where they need to change, so I can’t really pinpoint one incident. When I really came to the conclusion that I am in that zone of having a problem, I just said enough’s enough. I picked up the phone, I called this sponsor that had been recommended to me. It’s the best decision of my whole life.”

Now Lala is enjoying her new beauty line ‘Give Them Lala.’ She said, “I’ve always thought of my face as the perfect canvas. I’ve loved painting it since the time I was like, six years old. So I thought, let’s attempt to do something. And in the course of a year, we’ve gone from six lip products to over 50 products. Give Them Lala Beauty is doing so well, I would like to expand into all areas from moisturizers to makeup. That’s why I named it ‘beauty.’ Because I don’t want a limit on what we can provide for all of my ladies. And gents. You know? Lala Beauty does not discriminate.”

Lala seems to be super positive and upbeat these days. She seems genuinely happy. I feel like she’s in a good place now and I’m happy for her. I agree that self love and self care are so important. I also believe that women have to support and empower one another. I want to try some of Lala’s lip products!
