Eileen Davidson The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - RHOBH

Eileen Davidson Reveals the Real Reason She Quit the RHOBH; Plus Opens Up About Her Regrets From the Show!

Eileen Davidson is embarking on a new phase of her career as she leaves the world of reality TV and soap operas in her rearview mirror and returns to the big screen as an indie actress.

Now the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is reflecting on her time as a reality TV star.

In a new interview with In Touch Weekly, Eileen reveals why she decided to exit the world of the Real Housewives in 2017 after only three seasons.

Eileen also opens up about her biggest regrets from RHOBH and which of her former co-stars she’s still in touch with.

As for why she left RHOBH, Eileen says “With Real Housewives I wasn’t thrilled with a lot of stuff that happened, and there’s so much less stress and anxiety in my life now.”

While Eileen does miss working on the Young and the Restless, which she quit in mid-2018 after 36 years, the same can’t be said for RHOBH.

“I’m really glad the drama is behind me. When you’re in that space, it becomes your entire world,” Eileen explains.

In fact, Eileen does have some regrets about her time on RHOBH.

“I wish I handled some situations better, but think under the circumstances I did pretty well,” Eileen confesses. “It is what it is.”

However, Eileen does have some fond memories from RHOBH and her time on reality TV.

“It was definitely one of the most fascinating experiences of my life,” Eileen admits.

Speaking of fondness, Eileen does keep in touch with several of her former RHOBH co-stars.

“Kyle [Richards] and Erika [Jayne] and Lisa [Rinna],” Eileen says of who she stays in contact with. “They’ve been great and I still think the world of them, but I’ve needed to distance myself a bit and decompress from everything.”

Not surprisingly Lisa Vanderpump isn’t one of the co-stars Eileen keeps in touch with.

Eileen is currently starring in Walk To Vegas, which was written and produced by her husband, Vince Van Patten. The film premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 11, 2019.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 9 premieres Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
