Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and we all know that it completely sucks. It can transform dynamics and change lives, not just for the patient but for the caregiver as well. Gregg Leakes, husband of RHOA star Nene, recently opened up on how hard his cancer battle has been for his wife and even apologized for his behavior while undergoing treatment.
Taking to Instagram, Gregg expressed a heartfelt apology to his wife saying:
“We always hurt the ones we love… because they allow us to hurt them rather than snap back. I’m tired of hurting my wife who is only trying to take good care of me and wants only the best for me too. She deserves much more for her hard efforts and tireless hours spent on me. I pray to God to get it together… she’s done NO wrong… this is ALL on me.”

Gregg ended the post, appropriately with the words: “Cancer will change your life.”
In the past, Nene had taken to Twitter to express her frustrations with her ailing husband, saying at the time:
“I would just think if I have or had cancer, I would see life so differently! Not being mean, grouchy and evil for no real reason! But that’s me. Pray for me.”
Nene also spoke about her frustrations in the past, speaking to People Magazine about the difficulties in her role as a caretaker:
“It’s very, very hard to be a caretaker. People call and they say, ‘How’s Gregg doing?’ and I want to throw the phone and say, ‘How the f— am I doing? I’m going crazy over here, Gregg is wearing me out!’ I am not good at this s—! I would rather hire somebody. Gregg doesn’t want me to hire somebody, but I’m just not good. I’m not good at fluffing the pillow; I’m good at buying the pillow.”
Cancer can be just on hard on the family as it is for the person who is affected so we are sending thoughts and prayers not only to Gregg but to Nene as well.
