The matriarch of the Manzo family has spoken!
Caroline Manzo starred on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, she was an OG. Then she went onto her own spinoff show, Manzo’d With Children. Since it ended, fans have to follow the family on social media to see what they’re up to. Caroline’s daughter, Lauren Manzo married Vito Scalia on Manzo’d With Children in New Jersey in 2015. They had previously made appearances on the RHONJ when Caroline was in the cast. They had their first child together, Marchesa ‘Markie’ Scalia, in February of 2017. Lauren doesn’t share too much of her personal life on her social media, which is normal, but for some reason it causes a lot of people and bloggers to always talk about divorce rumors. However; that’s what it is, rumors. Lauren and Vito are still married and together. Caroline recently addressed this topic when she appeared on Albie and Chris Manzo’s podcast, Dear Albie.
Caroline said, “Hey, spoiler, Lauren and Vito are still very much married. Everybody seems to ask, ‘Are Lauren and Vito married?’ They are very much married. Lauren just doesn’t post a lot because she doesn’t want to hear your bulls–t. Plain and simple. We deal with a lot of bulls–t; she doesn’t want to hear it.”
Caroline also discussed how parenting has evolved over the decades. Caroline said, “Sometimes I look at Lauren and Vito and I’m like, damn… but you have to realize it’s a different time… I think parenting has evolved in such a way that probably I’m considered to be very old-fashioned but I’m cool with that. I, of course, love watching Lauren as a mom… I think it’s an age-old thing where a mother will look at her daughter and say, ‘No! That’s not the way you do it; that’s the way I did it.’ But you have to realize that things evolve, and people evolve and traditions and ways of parenting evolve, so she’s going to do it her way the same way I did it my way. And she’s a very attentive mom and Vito’s a great dad and Markie’s certainly very, very loved, all around, so I think if there was a gauge for a child being blessed and loved, this kid has got it off the charts.”
Caroline said that Markie is “the light of our lives,” “the biggest blessing of our lives,” and an “old soul.” Awe!
I never believe the rumors about Lauren and Vito getting divorced. Their wedding photos are beautiful, and their daughter is so cute. I think she just doesn’t share too much of her personal life on social media and I don’t blame her. They aren’t on the RHONJ or their spinoff anymore so they aren’t signed on to share their lives with the world. However; I wonder if the Manzo family will ever return to the RHONJ? Only time will tell!
