More money, more problems?
Looks like Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley might not be getting any of his future Bravo paychecks after a man, who he owes $1.2 million, is attempting to seize his income and assets.
According to The Blast, “a man named Nicos Kirzis sued Paul “PK” Kemsley in New York court back in 2016. Kirzis explained he loaned Kemsley a total of $1.2 million back in 2011. At the time, he claimed Kemsley had not repaid a dime from the loans, despite having agreed to a 2013 deadline.”
PK tried to argue that his 2013 UK bankruptcy “wiped the debt clean.” However, Kirzis claims he “was never listed as a creditor in the case.”
Kirzis then “demanded the New York judge grant him a judgment to allow him to go after Kemsley for the $1.2 million.”
In late 2016, Kirzis won his battle in court when a New York judge sided with him. The judge ordered a judgment against PK for $1.2 million plus interest and other fees for “a grand total of $1,235,573.66.” Yikes.
Then last month “Kirzis filed documents in California to register the judgment there, which is the first step a creditor takes to begin the process of seizing assets.”
To date, Kirzis says PK made a $250,000 payment toward the debt, which only covered the interest of the debt. PK still owes the remaining $1,275,221.48.
Kemsley must file to vacate the judgment or “his wages, money, and property could be taken without further warning.”
This isn’t the only money woe facing PK.
As previously reported back in September, a Las Vegas judge ruled that the Bellagio casino can now garnish PK’s wages to pay back his debt.
This order allows for “garnishment and execution” to begin, which means that the Bellagio can now go after PK’s income and assets.
This comes after PK defaulted on an agreement to pay back his massive debt to the casino.
In 2013, the Bellagio sued PK for failing to pay back the multi-million dollar marker. PK made some payments equaling $875,000 but then he filed for bankruptcy in the UK and his debt was wiped clean.
However, the Bellagio fought the debt; claiming that PK’s UK bankruptcy wasn’t valid in the US.
The casino ended up receiving more payments from PK totaling $575,000.
A settlement between the Bellagio and PK obligated the RHOBH star to make payments until June 2018. Although, the Bellagio alleges that PK stopped making payments in May and an outstanding balance remains.
Currently, PK still owes over $2 million to the Bellagio.
