Well it looks like Shannon Beador won’t be kissing anyone on midnight this New Years Eve!
Radar Online is reporting that Shannon and boyfriend Scot Matteson have split after only six months of dating. Scot has been Shannon’s only steady boyfriend since her split from ex-hubby David and it looks like it was too much too fast.
Sources are saying that the romance between the two simply “cooled off.” Aside from the honeymoon stage being over, “Shannon was not ready to be tied down to Scot and she ended the relationship on amicable terms several weeks ago.”
This should come as no surprise to any viewers of RHOC as after watching last season, it’s clear that Shannon has not emotionally moved on from her marriage to David. It seems the mom of three needs to work on sorting her feelings out before being completely devoted in a new relationship.
Shannon has some emotional baggage as her divorce with David has been one of the ugliest in housewives history which (naturally) took it’s toll on her new relationship. Sources added that “her divorce with David is just too much for anyone to handle. She does not want to be with anyone serious right now and knows that she can’t really move forward or get too involved with anyone until her divorce is finalized.”
I think it’s wise for Shannon to cool her relationship as it’s clear she needs to focus on herself in the new year. The end of her marriage definitely took a toll and a little “me time” and self reflection in 2019 is just what she needs. They say love happens when you aren’t looking so perhaps Shannon will find the right one when she least expects it.
