Kenya Moore, alum of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is having an eventful year. After giving birth to her daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, her dream of being a mom has come true! Kenya revealed the first baby photos of her newborn in People magazine, after posting glimpses on her social media accounts. Now she’s been opening up about motherhood, milestones, and her departure from RHOA.
Over the last few years of her life she’s appeared on RHOA, and since leaving after last season Kenya is feeling a little sad that viewers are not seeing this new chapter of her life. Kenya told People magazine in a recent interview she wishes fans could see this chapter of her life, “It broke my heart, but with all the stress I went through with this baby, I don’t know how I could have done it. Even now, breastfeeding every three hours, changing diapers, being up at all hours. I just don’t think I could have been present.”
However; Kenya explained that she needed to focus on her baby. “I really think that things happen for a reason. Even though I was disappointed to not come back to RHOA, I feel like it’s the best thing that could have happened for my baby.”
The Georgia Peaches are still in her life, though! She has even named some of them honorary Aunties, such as; Cynthia Bailey and Kandi Burruss. Kenya shared, “Everyone has pretty much gotten in touch to congratulate me and our family.”
Kenya is focusing on motherhood and being there for all of her daughter’s major milestones. She recently celebrated Brooklyn turning 6 weeks old and wrote on social media, “May God bless you and may all your heart’s desires come true. I never gave up, kept praying and believing in God’s plan for my life. Stay prayerful. He has your back.”
Awww. Kenya’s baby is beautiful. I’m happy for her because she really wanted to be a wife and mother. It’s a good thing that she focused on her pregnancy and newborn instead of filming the show. I have a feeling we will see her on RHOA again, though!
