Drita D’Avanzo is known for fighting on Mob Wives, and in real life. Sometimes reality TV is actually reality. The Mob Wives are known for being feisty and fierce, and all about family and food. Drita was seen brawling with co-stars, both on and off camera. Drita has never denied that she got into a lot of fights and has beat up a lot of people. She even turned to anger management and boxing on the show as an outlet!
Back in 2016, Drita was arrested on misdemeanor assault charges after getting into a brawl with a woman on her doorstep. Drita ended up being in the clear, though! Staten Island Criminal Court told Page Six that the Staten Island district attorney had “declined to prosecute and dismissed the case.” The woman ended up choosing not to cooperate and therefore; Drita didn’t have to go to court after all. When it all was over Drita told Page Six, “It’s unfortunate what happened, but I’m glad it’s over.”
The video of the actual fight was posted on TMZ and spread. They had reported that the fight started over a parking lot space and that the woman told them that Drita’s husband, Lee D’Avanzo, “frequently uses her reserved spot outside her home” and that he had been “harassing” her since the fight.
Drita never commented too much about the incident, until recently. In a since deleted post, Drita shared a clip of the fight from TMZ that someone had put Biggie music to. Drita broke her silence on the fight and said that it was NOT her neighbor, and added that she actually LOVES her neighbors. She said the fight was not over a parking spot. (Which is what is always reported.) Drita did add that she liked the addition of slow Biggie music to the clip, though, and thought it was an appropriate choice of music!
Drita was also seen on Mob Wives, rapping. She now has a new rap out, titled ‘Slap A Bitch.’ Drita shared her new rap on her Instagram and captioned the post, “Lady Boss Music I have some things I need to get off my chest…this is the best way I know how. Volume up, album coming soon. #workoutplaylist”
Woah! It always seemed extreme to come to full blows like that over a parking spot, so I had always assumed that there is much more to the story than that. I’m sure Drita had to delete the post for legal reasons. Perhaps if she writes a memoir one day she will discuss it in details. I’m glad that she’s turning to rap music again! She always enjoyed it on the show, and life is all about doing what you enjoy! I’ll check out her rap music.
