Katie Maloney-Schwartz Vanderpump Rules

Let’s Discuss Vanderpump Rules: Was Katie Schwartz Justified in Giving Lisa Vanderpump an Ultimatum?

Vanderpump Rules is easily one of the most dramatic shows on Bravo, and this season is not disappointing. Only a few episodes in and we already have an engagement, a new bar and an ultimatum. So what happened?

It all started at the Pride 80’s party when James Kennedy fat shamed Katie Maloney Schwartz (again) by saying she shouldn’t wear shorts and should lose some weight. Katie was already chastised for her weight last season by party planner Kevin Lee along with fellow SUR-vers James and Lala. Instead of bursting into tears this time, Katie decided to take action by telling the boss that it was either her or James:

Katie was confident in her decision as if an ultimatum worked with now hubby Tom Schwartz it may work with LVP as well (the girl sure does love an ultimatum!)

While I think it was a harsh approach, I do understand where she is coming from as body shaming can lead to a very uncomfortable work environment. With James’ past and how he has treated the other SUR-vers is it any wonder why everyone wants him kicked out?

Despite his grievances, Lisa seems conflicted on what to do with James as she has a bond with him and in the past has taken him under her wing. In the upcoming episode, we see James sobbing and begging Lisa to keep his job so only time will tell what will come of it.

Thoughts on Katie’s ultimatum? Do you think James should be fired or does he deserve (yet another) chance?
