Star of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gina Kirschenheiter, is moving forward and is taking the necessary steps to get her divorce finalized. Currently the divorce is yet to be finalized, and technically they are still legally married. This is playing out on this season of the RHOC.
According to The Blast, court documents show that Gina recently served her ex, Matthew Kirschenheiter, with her financial records. Gina filed for divorce from Matthew back in April after almost eight years of marriage. The two share three children and she asked for joint legal and primary physical custody. Now Gina is seeking spousal support and wants Matthew’s right to seek support terminated.
Matthew filed court documents before asking that the court not grant his estranged wife primary custody and he checked that he was seeking joint custody. Matthew agreed that Gina should be paid spousal support. However; he did note that he wants all of his assets he owned before the marriage to be awarded to him, as well as his post-separation earnings.
Their separation has been a big topic of discussion because it often seems as if they are still married right now. Many have wondered why they are even divorcing, while others feel that they will get back together and remain married. Sometimes divorces take years, but it seems like Gina wants to speed the process up now. Good for Gina for doing what she has to do for herself and her children.
