Dolores Catania The Real Housewives of New Jersey - RHONJ

Dolores Catania Says Teresa Giudice Is “Detaching Herself” From Joe’s Deportation Crisis, Plus Comments On Teresa And Melissa Gorga’s Current Relationship!

Dolores Catania and Teresa Giudice not only star on The Real Housewives of New Jersey together as co-stars, they also have been friends for 20+ years. They’ve gone through a lot together and this has been shown on the RHONJ. Dolores has been very supportive of Teresa, especially with everything she’s going through right now with her husband, Joe Giudice, amid his current deportation battle. Teresa has been standing strong, and has revealed that they are appealing the judge’s decision. She also recently noted that her children are taking the news the hardest, and that they are taking things one day at a time. Dolores says that Teresa is going to “detach” herself from this situation.

According to US Weekly, Dolores said, “Teresa is a machine. I will always say it. Teresa never sits down and lets everything that’s going on take over. She just takes control and gets through it and piles through every day. She kind of detaches herself from what’s going on.” Dolores added, “It’s sad. I just really feel for her. There’s nothing else Teresa can do. She has no control over things that are going on in her life right now. It’s scary. I’ve known Teresa since we’re 16 years old and I know she handles things by detaching herself from the situation.”

Dolores also discussed that Teresa’s father, Giacinto Gorga, is not in good health and has been fighting a serious illness. Teresa and Joe recently visited their father in the hospital. Dolores said, “Her dad’s not well, he’s in the hospital. I check on Teresa all the time. I keep in contact with her and I check on her dad. I’m always checking on him. I ask Teresa if she needs anything for the kids, for her dad.”

This season on the RHONJ, Teresa and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, are going to have some disagreements. Dolores thinks that the way Teresa and Melissa’s current relationship is right now, is how it’ll remain. Dolores explained, “Melissa and Teresa I feel are in a place that they will be forever. I don’t think it will ever be any better or any worse. They’re as good as it’s gonna get. I think they’re at different places in life, they’re busy with their own families and their own businesses. But there’s always been a difference between them, and because of that, that’s the way it will stay.”

I think that you have to detach yourself from certain situations sometimes to cope. I think it’s a way for Teresa to deal with everything, you have to step back and reflect and take things one day at a time. She’s doing an amazing job at keeping everything together, and I feel she is truly the glue that holds her family together! It’s sweet that Dolores is being so supportive of Teresa because that’s what she needs most. I hope Teresa’s father gets better soon. I’m anxious to see how the sister-in-law’s relationship plays out this season! I don’t think Teresa and Melissa will ever go back to the horrible place they were in, so I do think they’ll get past whatever disagreements they have this season. I’m SO excited that the RHONJ is back on!!!
