Newbie of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gina Kirschenheiter, has had an eventful first season on the show. The OC mom is going through a complicated divorce from her husband Matt, as the show is airing right now. After filing for divorce from him earlier this year, she requested sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their three children, Nicholas, 5, Sienna, 4, and Luca, 2, according to Bravo’s The Daily Dish. Gina put her Coto de Caza house on the market, only to take the home off the market shortly after. So many have been wondering what the current living situation is like right now for the RHOC star. Is she still living with soon-to-be-ex Matt?!
Gina recently stopped by Bravo and told Home & Design, “I’m still living in Coto in the same house that I share with Matt. Matt still has the same apartment in Woodland Hills, he renewed his lease I think for another eight or ten months or something, and then I still have the casita, so I’m still casita-living on the weekends.” They are living apart during the week. Gina is in Coto and Matt is in Los Angeles for work. They spend time together with their kids on weekend. Their living situation before led to tension in their marriage, according to Gina. They were living apart a lot.
Gina said their living situation right now is working. She explained, “You know what, it’s working for us. It’s kind of annoying to have to kind of pack up and move here and move there, but I’d rather it be annoying for me than annoying for the kids. And Matt has to do it regardless because he works there and the kids are here, so it’s just kind of the new normal for us.”
It’s nice that they have found what works for them right now. I think it’s great because they have kids and that’s what is most important! Maybe these two will get together again someday. Many have wondered why they are even divorcing instead of working on their issues, since they are acting so amicable and lovey dovey during this time. Whatever will be, will be!
