Shocking news for Real Housewives of New Jersey fans: Joe Giudice has been ordered to be deported.
Various media outlets are reporting that Teresa Giudice’s husband will, in fact, be deported back to Italy following his release from prison in early 2019.
“Based upon the law, I find you deportable and ineligible for any kind of relief,” Judge John Ellington told Giudice during a hearing at Pennsylvania’s York Immigration Court on Wednesday, October 10. “Mr. Giudice, no matter how this turns out, I wish you the best. I decided this case as a matter of law.”
Joe, who appeared in court via teleconference, sounded shocked by the news telling Judge Ellington, “I don’t understand how I can be deported on this case. If you will, I’ll tell you my side. I shouldn’t even be here right now. I have to go back and tell my kids this, and they’ve been waiting to hear from me.”
Back in June, Teresa and family were still hopeful that Joe would return to their New Jersey home after prison.
“We remain optimistic that when the day comes where a court decides the fate of Mr. Giudice, they will return him home to his wife and four daughters where he belongs,” James J. Leonard told Us Weekly in June 2018. “But that is for a judge to decide.”
Joe can appeal the Judge Ellington’s decision, which must be filed by November 9th.
