The newest star of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gina Kirschenheiter, had confirmed that she and her husband Matt were divorcing. Gina also explained that because of work and his job, viewers won’t be seeing him on the show in the near future. The RHOC newbie recently opened up on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, about the separation, stating, “Well, we have split up, but we will never be split.”
Gina filed for divorce back in April, citing irreconcilable differences. She also selected that she wanted sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their three children, Nicholas, 5, Sienna, 4, and Luca, 2. During her WWHL appearance, she said the split is “death by a thousand paper cuts.” Gina also said that she probably wouldn’t have come on the show if she knew she was going to be getting a divorce. However; she claimed the show has had nothing to do with the split at all.
Gina also revealed which of her co-stars have been the most and least supportive during this time. The most supportive? Kelly Dodd and Emily Simpson, noting that Kelly has especially been great. Gina noted that Kelly gives good advice.
Who has been the least supportive? Shannon Beador. “I don’t have any problems with her, she just sucks,” Gina laughed. She added, “I’m sorry, my bad!”
Is Gina dating yet? No! Gina said she is focusing on what is going on in her life right now. “No, I’m afraid of boys,” she joked.
I’m not surprised who Gina said has been the most and least supportive. LOL! I don’t think that the show is why Gina is getting divorced, and I do believe that she wouldn’t have joined if she had known this was the direction she was headed. It’s sweet that she’s focused on her family right now – that’s the way it should be! It’s nice that she said they will never be split. It’s a tough time but they have to remain strong and co-parent. This season of RHOC is wild!
