Kyle Richard’s show ‘American Woman’ is the gift that keeps on
giving bringing drama. After being a major story line on RHOBH, causing drama with her sisters behind the scenes, it seems as if it may not have been worth it as the show has already been canned.
After only one season, it’s being reported that Kyle’s show is already being cancelled. Despite starting off to strong ratings, “American Woman could not sustain its premiere numbers, with its rating declining through its run, especially in the demos.”
The show was infamously inspired by Kyle’s nontraditional upbringing, something which sparked major drama between herself and her two sisters who did not want their family life made into a TV show.
As to why the show is being cancelled? Like many things in life, it’s all about the Benjamins (and numbers) with the show’s finale bringing in “a paltry 0.006 Live+same day rating, a series low and down -71% from the premiere.”
Despite causing drama with her siblings, Kyle insists it was done with good intentions saying, “It’s done with love and the utmost respect for my mom who I love more than anything.”
I never actually saw Kyle’s show; however I’m not surprised it was cancelled. I hadn’t heard anything about it and we all know that when a show is a hit we will hear/see/read about it and it was pretty much crickets after the premiere episode. Hopefully now that the show is done with Kyle can bury the hatchet with her siblings. At the end of the day no TV show (hit or no hit) is worth damaging relationships with your family.
